Nokia Lumia great buy for a person who can't afford a real Digital Camera.
Do not shoot in Hi-res JPEG mode. Shutter speed only available with associated
programs. This device needs more programmers to take advantage of things like
speed lights. This is not a sports camera but a studio camera. Can get only one
good shot in terms of sports. Use DNG/RAW format. Use a cleaner program as the
flash storage might be too used. I fill it up half way. You have to make your own
external lens. Again using the camera can heat up phone really fast.
You need to use external zoom over the software zoom for DNG/RAW format to zoom. Phone is very slow and sluggish. Picture taking can be sluggish based on shutter speed and battery amount. Software updates do not slove most problems and can cause other problems. The censor is bigger then Apple censors and is using the latest technology compared to the SONY Alpha MKII. However this is not bigger then an
over the counter consumer camera. That being said most digital cameras are no where equal to 35MM film at all, even if it is a full Frame. Best bang for for a Camera Phone. You need to get the software in order to take advantage of shutter speed. The phone might freeze if overheat or using Hi-Res JPEG mode. DNG/RAW gets more colors and can convert down to JPEG. However it is ten times better then a $4000 camera freezing or a $300 dollar camera freezing. The camera is slightly more faster using 5MP mode but is still slower then my old Samsung 5MP. The 5MP is actually 6MP. The 40MP is actually 38MP rounded off.
Over all this was a great purchase with much need for external equipment. The only
bad regret is that this is not a medium film camera or even large format camera. I am
happy and content with this and will buy more just for back up concerns. I advise you to
invest in a icy-pack to stick this camera in. Too keep it cool down. Great buy. Otheriwse get a regular film camera and film convertor.
Also use a cleaner program if photos are not showing up. Specifically hi-res JPEG. Otherwise do not use hi-res JPEG
